Marvel's Thunderbolts: Release date, cast, and plot unveiled

Thunderbolts, providing an exciting look at reformed villains and antiheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Marvel's Thunderbolts is a superhero team that first appeared in comic books published by Marvel Comics. They made their debut in "The Incredible Hulk" #449 in 1997. The team was created by writer Kurt Busiek and artist Mark Bagley.

The Thunderbolts are unique because they were initially introduced as a new superhero team in the aftermath of the Onslaught event, with a roster of characters that resembled classic Marvel heroes. Led by Citizen V, the team included characters like Baron Zemo, Songbird, Atlas, Mach-1, and Techno. However, it was later revealed that the Thunderbolts were, in fact, a group of supervillains posing as heroes as part of an elaborate plan by Baron Zemo.

The original Thunderbolts series explored the concept of redemption and the moral gray areas within the Marvel Universe. Over time, some members of the team genuinely embraced heroism and sought redemption for their past actions, while others remained villains at heart. The series became known for its intricate plots, character development, and exploration of the line between good and evil.

The Thunderbolts have gone through multiple lineup changes and have had various iterations over the years. Some notable members who joined the team at different points include characters like Hawkeye, Moonstone, Ghost, Jolt, Venom, Bullseye, Deadpool, Punisher, Elektra, and Red Hulk, among others.

Throughout their history, the Thunderbolts have been involved in various storylines and crossover events within the Marvel Universe. They have also had their own ongoing series and have often appeared as guest stars in other titles.

The team has been depicted in different ways in other media as well. They have appeared in animated television shows like "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" and "Ultimate Spider-Man." Additionally, there have been discussions about bringing the Thunderbolts into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although no official plans have been announced as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021.
